Have a nice trip to Croatia
I immediately need Croatian business visa to see one of my customer in Zagreb . The purpose of meeting is just business for retail superstores .
My problem is I don’t have a complete info / address of Consulate/ Embassy in Pakistan , from where I should I get the visa . I have schegen visa , can I get visa from Amsterdam , if yes then how long it will take , if they issue me visa in 24 hours then I can make the journey and will stop in Amsterdam for visa.
Please reply me in detail.
Thanks, Haseeb
Haseeb,
You can try your luck with Croatian Embassy in The Hague
https://nl.mvp.hr/?mh=158&mv=868
But I’m afraid you can not get visa in 24 hours. 2 weeks is a more realistic prospect. To put it politely, Croatians working in embassy are extremely lazy plus it will take them a few extra days to clear up suspicions over “green passport”.
I’m a Pakistani living in Slovenia (next to Croatia) and this happened to me last year when I tried entering on valid Schengen visa (it was allowed last year summer)
Haseeb,
Citizens of Pakistan can get a visa through the Croatian Embassy in Iran. There are several visa types for different purposes and can be issued urgently. You shoud contact the Croatian Embassy in Iran;

Raja,
You both require a visa unless you are travelling with an organised group and having a valid health insurance.
Government of the Republic of Croatia, at its session on 10 March 2011, adopted the decision to temporarily facilitate the entry of aliens on tourist visits to the Republic of Croatia on the basis of valid Schengen residence permits and visas. Consequently, the following categories of aliens temporarily, from 1 April to 31 October 2011, do not require a visa:
1) Holders of valid Schengen residence permits ( covering entry and transit);
2) Nationals of the Republic of India and of the People’s Republic of China, holders of valid Schengen visas, who collectively and in an organised manner visit the Republic of Croatia as tourists, if in possession of a valid travel health insurance and arriving from the Schengen Area, and
3) Nationals of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates who visit the Republic of Croatia as tourists, holders of valid Schengen visas, if in possession of a valid travel health insurance.
Aliens who are holders of valid Schengen residence permits or valid Schengen visas for short-term stay temporarily do not require a visa for the Republic of Croatia if they are arriving to the Republic of Croatia on cruise ships with the purpose of tourist visit.
According to the decision by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, facilitated entry of the foreign nationals meeting specified requirements applies from 5 November 2010 until 31 December 2011.
Hi
The lastest regulation:

Apparently, if you hold a valid schengen visa it will be fine. It seems, however, if nationals of India and China need to entre from a Schengen Area in an organised manner. It is confusing…
I hold a Chinese visa, with a workpermit, and valid schengen visa.
Anybody can help with this?
Best
Jo
Hi JackD

Qian,
Unless you are travelling as a tourist in an organised group, having a valid travel health insurance and arriving from a Schengen Member State (UK and Ireland are not Schengen members, despite they are in EU) you require a visa.

Moha,
Letters of invitation may be issued by travel agencies or sent by Croatian citizens living in Croatia and must be notarized.
Natasha,
You do not need to obtain a separate visa for Croatia.

grazie mille e Buona Pasqua!
Claudio

You do not require a visa if: – for nationals of India provided holding normal passports together with visa issued by a Schengen Member State and a travel health insurance. Passenger must travel as a tourist in an organised group and arrive from a Schengen Member State. Otherwise, you require a visa.

hi
i am a british citizen and thinking about getting a job in croatia. can u tell me how easy it is to get a job there as a british citizen and what requirements need to be fulfilled. i have been working in advertising sales for the last 10 years here in the UK.
how easy is it to get a place to live and open bank accounts etc.
thanks
Hi,
I did read the earlier post on Indian and Chinese who have valid Shenzhan visas not needing a seperate visa for Croatia.I have an Indian passport and plan to visit Croatia and Greece so i’m planning on getting only a Shenzhan visa.I just wanted to double check if i can enter Croatia with a Shenzhan visa.
Tony,
If you are coming to Croatia on cruise ships with a purpose of tourist visit you do not need a visa. Otherwise, visa is required.
dia zaidi,
It is not easy to get a job nowadays, though there are quite some job offers in advertising sales. I would suggest you to wait until Croatia joins the EU, then you would have freedom of movement and would be free to come to Croatia to live and work without having to obtain any permit or visa. As well, it is neither difficult nor easy to get a stay permit. You can come to Croatia and within 30 days of arrival must apply for a temporary/long term stay. More information here: https://www.mup.hr/1266.aspx
It is easy to get a place to live(rent) and open bank accounts.
You can just come to a bank and open an account with your passport or national ID card.
Aparna,
If you are national of the Republic of India or the People’s Republic of China, holding valid Schengen visa and collectively and in an organised manner visiting the Republic of Croatia as tourists, if in possession of a valid travel health insurance and arriving from the Schengen Area you do not require a visa. Otherwise, visa is required.
Hi, I am an Afghan and would like to know if Afghans can get Tourist Visa. I work in a Company who is doing construction and logistical supplies to various bases of US Military in Afghanistan.
Looking forward hearing from you.
Thank you.
NA
Hi JackD,
Thank you very much for answering so many posts in so many languages.
I am an Indian living in Switzerland having an Indian passport with a valid Aufenthaltsbewilligung (work permit) type B issued by Swiss Authorities.
As I read previous posts, you will advise me to travel to Croatia in an ‘organized manner’.
a) What does it mean? Does it mean we have to be part of a group organized by a travel company? Does it mean we can register the group (maybe even 2 people constituting the group) on embassy website, obtain a ‘clearance’ and show it at the border control? Or it has to be a cruise ship which is sometime referred in some of your posts.
b)”…….temporarily facilitate the entry of aliens on tourist visits to the Republic of Croatia on the basis of valid Schengen residence permits and visas. Consequently, the following categories of aliens temporarily, from 1 April to 31 October 2011, do not require a visa:
1) Holders of valid Schengen residence permits ( covering entry and transit);
2) Nationals of the Republic of India and of the People’s Republic of China, holders of valid Schengen visas, who collectively and in an organised manner visit the Republic of Croatia as tourists, if in possession of a valid travel health insurance and arriving from the Schengen Area, and
….” taken from https://www.mfa.hr/MVP.asp?pcpid=1615&dmid=92#pocdrz
Here, to me first point should take precedence over second; means if Indian national has a Schengen Residence Permit (e.g. in my case an Aufenthaltsbewilligung (work permit) type B then he/she should be allowed to enter even without a ‘organized group’
Can it be varified from the Croatian embassy?
I shall be very thankful to you for answering these queries. I respect your dedication in answering so many queries in the past.
Best regards,
Devendra
and the last point would be
c) if someone comes in an organized manner to Croatia, is he also bound to go back in an organized manner; as in will he have to leave Croatia in a tour group or by a cruise ship etc.?
Once again thanks for the help.
Regards,
Devendra
Nice site. I am still confused about the 90 day requirement. No visa is required for stays of 90 days for Australians (and many other nationalities). But if you leave the country for a week or two within the 90 day period, does the clock start again? Or is it the same as in most of Europe, namely 90 days in any 180 day period.
My situation is that I have a yacht and want to be in the area for the summer,(June to September). Can I leave for a period and have the clock start again so tht each stay is within the 90 day rule?
